I am a data scientist with a background in statistics and molecular biology with over 20 years’ experience within big pharma (18 years at GSK, 4 years at AZ), working across all areas of the business. As a Director of Data Science, I lead the AZ DS&AI strategy for increasing the efficiency of clinical trials by identifying opportunities and delivering data science focussed patient recruitment strategies. My goal is to bring together functional lines including clinical development, clinical operations, statisticians, and data scientists to help optimise the way big pharma initiate clinical trials by leveraging data and exploiting opportunities with data science.
