Sophie has worked in healthcare research since 2005 - conducting medical market research, running a patient registry and national/ international patient groups. She was the patient expert on various boards and European multi-stakeholder projects, and the PPI (patient public involvement) representative for many clinical trials. One of her most valued experiences was listening to and advising >1000 MDS (myelodysplastic syndromes) blood cancer patients over 15 years in her previous role as Chief Executive of MDS UK. She aspires to enable more drugs to get to market faster for patients, whilst prioritising their quality of life (QoL).
