Section 1: Issues Regarding Events
Section 1A: Issues Regarding Booking Confirmation
Do make sure that your booking has been confirmed, both for live and on-demand events. ‘Confirmation’ will be in the form of an email from Corvus Global Events stating that your event has been registered indeed. Do not—in any event—assume confirmation unless you receive this email. In case you don’t, we advise you check your spam folder, or get in touch with Corvus executives at [email protected]
Section 1B: Issues Regarding Cancellation Of Events By Client
Corvus Global Events shall charge a cancellation fee in case the client cancels an event, whatever the reason. Corvus requires a written notice stating the express reasons for said cancellation. Cancellation fees shall be levied as follows:
- Full booking amount (100%), for cancellation 3 months or less prior to the event
- 75% of the booking amount, for cancellation 3-6 months prior to the event
- 50% of the booking amount, for cancellation 6 months (or more) prior to the event
Section 1C: Issues Regarding Cancellation By Individual Delegates
In case a registered individual delegate fails to attend the event, the conference fee shall not be refunded under any circumstances. However, another person from the same organization may avail the registration and participate at no extra cost.
Section 1D: Issues Regarding Cancellation By Corvus Global Events
In certain conditions—such as a lack of an adequate number of attendees, or other unforeseen situations—Corvus might cancel the event altogether. In such an event, the information will be passed on to registered participants at least 4 weeks in advance of the registered event. Corvus Global Events shall refund your registration fee in full, but shall not be held responsible for your accommodation, travelling, or any other consequential charges.
Section 1E: Issues Regarding Changes In Event Details
Corvus Global Events reserves the right to change the location of the event and guest speakers as well. Due to extenuating circumstances, we might decide to change the venue or speaker previously agreed upon and there might be some content changes.
Section 1F: Issues Regarding Unauthorized Recording Of Events
No recording of the events—through videos, audio recordings, or still photos—is permitted by Corvus. Copies and photos of slides in presentations cannot be made at events, unless with the express permission of the presenter. Violators will have their badges removed if found breaking these rules.
Section 2: Issues Regarding Endorsement
Corvus Global Events does not in any way support the content shared or views expressed at any of our events and conferences, by our conference speakers, or companies involved in our events. All of these do not represent support for any of Corvus’ technology, Intellectual Property (IP), or platform.
Section 3: Issues Regarding Clients’ Personal Data
We do save our clients’ personal data, in order to contact them regarding future events and promo offers. These details in our database may be shared with sponsors for event-related reasons. If you do not wish to have your name and other details saved, please notify us at [email protected]
Section 4: Issues Regarding Payment
Payments are to be made without fail at specified dates prior to the event. Event emissaries who haven’t made requisite payments will need to supply a credit card as guarantee at the event’s reception desk.
Corvus will take action on late payers in order to ensure the complete payment of the invoice, without prejudice to any other rights, to render your contract void in respect of any future supplies and to compensation for debt recovery costs under “The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest)” Act 1998 as amended and supplemented by “The Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2002.”
Beyond credit terms we’ve agreed to, payments will be levied an additional interest charge of 8% over the bank rate on the entire amount, including VAT. This is in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1198. Corvus reserves the right to charge an additional £50 towards administration costs.
Section 4A: Issues Regarding Payment Transactions
Corvus Global Events uses Worldpay or PayPal payment gateways for all payments made using credit cards. Our transactions are carried out in a secure manner, using 128-bit encryption. No details are displayed as clear text on any website. All payments will have VAT levied, at the prevailing rate. Corvus Global Events’ VAT Number is 229631304
Section 5: Issues Regarding Browser Cookies
Our website employs session and persistent cookies. The former are used temporarily (for as long as you browse), while the latter are stored by your browser for subsequent use. These are used in an effort to provide a better browsing experience for clients. Corvus may also send cookies to your browser, unless you’ve pre-emptively blocked these. Cookies from our website do not gather personal information.
Section 6: Agreement Regarding Use Of Photos, Video, And Audio Recorded At Events
I hereby permit Corvus Global Events and its agents/employees to use audio/video/images of me taken at any of their events. I agree to let them use these for educational and documentary purposes in print, online, and other media. I also grant them permission to use my likeness, my image, and my voice for promos, materials, and other purposes deemed appropriate and necessary by Corvus Global Events.
Furthermore, I agree to release Corvus Global Events, its employees/agents, and any firm publishing the above-mentioned content, from being held responsible for use of the photos/videos/audio recordings—including but not limited to misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction, or production of the finished product, its publication, or distribution.
Section 7: Liability Waiver
As a participant at one of Corvus’ events, I acknowledge that my participation in said event/activity is of my own free will. I take full responsibility and liability for any injury and/or other loss or damage associated in any way with the event and my participation in it. To the fullest extent permissible by law, I hereby release Corvus Global Events and any of its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, agents or other representatives, successors, assigns, and all others acting on their behalf (collectively referred to herein as the "Released Parties") from any and all responsibilities, claims, expenses, personal injury, wrongful death or liability for injuries or damages of any kind resulting from—or in any way arising out of—my participation in any event organized by Corvus Global Events.
I will not hold Corvus Global Events responsible for disruptions in my travel plans due to fire, flood, volcano, acts of God or terrorism. I fully understand, and agree, that no refunds of participant or exhibitor fees can be offered by Corvus Global Events in case of such conditions.
I also will not hold any of the Released Parties responsible or liable against any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees and costs incurred in defending such claims directly or indirectly resulting from, or in any way arising out of or related to my participation in a Corvus Global Events event or conference. I accept and acknowledge that my participation in said events and conference is subject to my agreement to these Terms of Service.
This contract is prepared under English law.
