Tugce Karakas is the Head of Patient Safety for Turkey at Bristol Myers Squibb. She graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy and also holds a degree in Health Institutions Management from Anadolu University. She further completed her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Toxicology at Marmara University. She began her career with roles in clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and medical information at Neutec and Bilim Pharmaceuticals. She then spent 10 years at Sanofi in the pharmacovigilance department, where she contributed to numerous local and global initiatives, gaining experience in safety systems, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Since October 2022, she has been serving as the Head of Patient Safety at Bristol Myers Squibb, where she leads patient safety operations, supports regulatory compliance, and drives strategic safety initiatives across the Turkey affiliate.
