Abda works as an Epidemiologist/Scientist within the Global Real World Evidence and Health Outcomes team at GSK. She is responsible for leading and supporting strategic planning and delivery of evidence generation activities to support the recommendation and reimbursement of vaccines, as well as providing epidemiological expertise across studies and vaccines. Her expertise spans therapeutic areas, interventional and observational studies as well as those with hybrid designs. She has presented study results in local and global congresses, published rigorous research in peer-reviewed journals, and peer reviewed manuscripts for several journals. Abda previously worked as a Senior Epidemiologist within the Global Epidemiology team at IQVIA, where she advised a range of pharmaceutical clients on a range of RWE studies. Abda holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Population Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; her PhD thesis resulted in several peer reviewed publications in medical and methodological journals. Prior to her PhD, Abda worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry on a longitudinal study of ageing (Whitehall-II Imaging Sub-study), and completed an MSc in Psychological Research at the University of Oxford and BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology at the University of Durham.
